EMPOWERMENT GRANT PROJECT PROPOSAL (Maximum 5 pages)
Empowerment Grant Project Proposal should include the following:
- Executive Summary: A summary of two-three paragraphs highlighting the purpose of the project
- Project Narrative:
- Problem and Need - Identify the problem to be addressed and the needs to be met by the project. What unique service(s) would the community be deprived of if you do not undertake this project? Provide supporting data to describe how this project fosters the success of your credit union/financial cooperative.
- Project Goal - Describe the project goal(s). Identify the project as a new or continuing program. List measurable, attainable outcomes.
- Project Impact – Describe how you will measure the impact of the project. Describe what you and the project bring to GWLN.
- Project Design - Describe your project objectives activities, strategies, staffing, partners, timelines, target populations. Explain how the design will enable you to address the problem or need. Highlight specific ways in which the GWLN membership base can contribute to the success of your project.
- Evaluation:
- Process – Explain your evaluation process detailing your method for collecting data from the beginning to the end of the project.
- Outcomes/deliverables – Describe the proposed project outcomes/deliverables
- Measurement – Outline your plan to document progress and results. How will your effectiveness be monitored and evaluated? What is your criterion for success?
- Cost: Outline the amount requested, total project cost, any cost share or additional support already obtained. Specify your plans for financing the project at the termination of the project. List other financing sources or strategies that you are developing.
- Letter of support: Include a letter of support of your project from an individual within the Credit Union industry.
