Professional Ethics and Photo Release Agreement

THE PROFESSIONAL ETHICS AND STANDARDS FOR GLOBAL WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP NETWORK (GWLN) 

The following are ethics and standards that I, as a Global Women's Leadership Network Member (Member) will attempt to the best of my reasonable ability to commit to and employ in the advising relationships of the GWLN Program:

I agree to maintain the confidentiality of all Members and will release information about them or the advising relationship only with their express permission. All conversations I have with Members and the subject matters of those conversations will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

I agree to maintain the professional boundaries of the advising relationship, will refrain from using any information I may have from or about individuals I advise for my personal or material advantage, and will promptly inform those Members of any potential conflicts of interest that may arise in relation to the advising relationship.

I agree to offer all Members guidance in only those areas in which I have expertise. Should I lack the needed expertise to provide advice on any matter, I will promptly refer the Advisee to other appropriately qualified professionals.

I agree to maintain a professional behavior and demeanor in all interactions with those I advise, and will refrain from using language or behavior, which may be perceived as offensive, diminishing of their dignity, or eroding of the trust between us.

I agree to inform Members of any circumstances which might diminish my objectivity or ability to offer them the highest quality advisor services.

I agree to respond to email questions within three business days of receipt. 

I agree to maintain my personal profile with current information. Should I not be available to advise for a period of time, I will provide advanced notice of my intended absence on my profile.

I agree that I will act as a Member as that term is normally defined, for no compensation or material gain.

I agree to review feedback of my responses to requests for advice and to make appropriate adjustments as necessary.

I agree to allow World Council of Credit Unions to use my name in news articles and on the GWLN website identifying me as a member.

I may respond to inquiries from and further dialogue with members through a mutually agreed upon method, via email or phone.

I understand and acknowledge that World Council of Credit Unions has the right to discontinue my participation as a Member or in any other capacity in the Global Women's Leadership Network (GWLN) program at any time.

I understand and agree that when I submit a request to GWLN or World Council of Credit Unions to participate in the online network program, and when I participate as an Member in online advising with a GWLN Member, I confirm that I have read and accepted the terms and conditions of the GWLN network program outlined as follows: I request general business management advising from GWLN. "I understand that the advice given is limited to the personal use of the inquirer and such advice cannot be published or publicly attributed to the member." I will cooperate if selected to participate in periodic GWLN network surveys designed to evaluate GWLN network assistance services. I authorize GWLN to furnish relevant information about me to the assigned GWLN Member(s) on the condition that I expect such information to be held in the Member(s)'s strictest confidence. I understand that all GWLN Members have agreed not to: (1) recommend goods or services from sources outside of GWLN in which the Member may have an interest and (2) accept any fees or commissions as compensation for the advising relationship. In consideration for GWLN's general business advice, I waive all claims against GWLN, GWLN personnel, World Council of Credit Unions, any host organizations or entities recommended to me through my participation in 
the GWLN network.

I understand that GWLN Members cannot provide advice on the basis of any professional certifications or licenses that they may hold and I will not utilize information provided by GWLN Members as such. I further understand that my relationship with GWLN Members does not entitle me to such client privileges as may be associated with any professional certifications or licenses that GWLN Members may hold.

Photographs and/or videos may be taken at any Global Women’s Leadership Network events and these photos may be used in educational, news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including on CUwomen.org and the World Council of Credit Unions website. By becoming a member of the Network, you grant The Global Women’s Leadership Network and World Council the right to use your name, photograph and biography for such purposes. All pictures become the property of World Council and may be displayed, distributed or used by World Council for any purpose in perpetuity.

The following countries are considered to have developed credit union movements and will be charged the annual US$250 annual membership fee: Australia Brazil Canada Ireland United States
