Sister Society PH: OMSMPC Sister Society Launch Narrative

The Online Micro Sellers Multipurpose Cooperative (OMSMPC) successfully launched its Sister Society Chapter on March 17, in partnership with the NATCCO Gender and Development (GAD) Unit—marking a meaningful step toward strengthening women’s empowerment and leadership within the cooperative sector.

The event brought together over 25 cooperators who proudly took their oath as founding members, formally establishing a local platform for connection, growth, and collective action. Through this milestone, OMSMPC is now linked to a global Sister Society network spanning more than 160 countries, opening doors to wider collaboration and shared learning.

A highlight of the launch was the SheSpeaks session, where members engaged in intimate breakout discussions, courageously sharing personal experiences with self-doubt and imposter syndrome.
